Spikes Tactical to Release Titanium Bolt Carriers
According to Tom from Spike’s Tactical, the company plans to release a Ti bolt carrier in the very near future. Pricing and other details are understandably scant at the moment, but reports are that as soon as the patent situation is taken care of, these carriers will be available. They will be a 4.5 ounce reduction in weight over a standard M-16 carrier and Tom claims that they will require no buffer or spring modifications. If this is true, these bolts should lighten AR recoil by substantially reducing the reciprocating mass of the bolt carrier group.
