Use These OZ Scent Eliminators In Your Hunting Vehicle
Judicious use of scent eliminators can prevent your stinky truck from ruining your hunt. Few hunters have the advantage of walking out their back door to hunt. The majority have to pack their gear in a vehicle and drive to their hunting destination. And whether that destination is hours away or only a few minutes from home, when you arrive in the field, you are stepping out of an odor-filled scent bomb.
Scent Eliminators Remove Those Vehicle Odors
We live in our vehicles, and these closed-up spaces collect and retain the various odors from every aspect of our day-to-day activities. Think about the last time you were in someone else’s car or truck. The experience probably told you several things about its owner without you even thinking about it… where they work, what they eat, their choice of personal hygiene products, the brand of laundry detergent they use… you name it.
Rest assured, your vehicle tells the same stories about you, even if you’ve gone “nose blind” to them. Other ambient odors that collect inside your vehicle can come from smoke, gasoline and oil, pets, and cleaning or freshening products. This cacophony of odors brews and strengthens inside vehicle… until you get out, carry them into the field and they ruin your hunt.
We live in the golden age of technology and, thankfully, there’s a simple way to eliminate these unwanted odors and make sure that they do not interfere with your next hunt. Ozone scent eliminators are the solution. Ozone is a natural compound destroys odors by breaking them down via oxidation, and it also attacks and destroys the bacteria that creates new odors, as well as mold, mildew, and viruses.
Start With The OZ Radial EZ
The night before a hunt, I use my OZ Radial EZ portable ozone generator inside my truck. The Radial EZ’s round shape fits perfectly in the cupholder of my truck’s console. I typically run the unit on its maximum setting for at least an hour, which floods the cabin with ozone that immediately goes to work destroying odors and attacking bacteria. This step is generally sufficient, but I take additional precautions.
Spray On The OZ NFuse
I then use the OZ NFuse ozone sprayer on my interior fabrics – the seats, carpets and headliner. Due to their porous nature, these fabrics absorb and trap odors deep inside. The ozone-infused water from the NFuse sprayer immediately goes to work killing bacteria and breaking down any remaining odors on contact. Independent laboratory testing has proven the NFuse ozone sprayer to reduce odor-causing bacteria by up to 99.9%. Your vehicle is now deodorized and ready to travel to your hunting destination.
Don’t Forget Your Clothes And Yourself
Remember to use scent eliminators on your clothes and yourself. Before leaving for my hunt, I shower and clean my hair and body with products like ScentLok 4X Liquid Body Soap and 3X Shampoo & Conditioner. I then dress in regular street clothes or my hunting base layers that have been washed in a product like ScentLok 4X Laundry Detergent.
I pack all my outer hunting garments – coats, jackets, pants, bibs, gloves, facemasks, hats, and even my safety harness and backpack – into my OZChamber 8K duffle bag with the OZ500 ozone generator inside. I’ll then run a 15-minute cycle of ozone through all the gear to destroy odors before entering the field to hunt. The OZChamber 8K goes into the bed of my truck and isn’t opened until I arrive in the field.
Once I arrive in the field, I dress away from the vehicle and spray down with the OZ NFuse ozone sprayer or field spray – making sure to hit all parts of my boots, as well as my bow and any other gear I’m carrying to the stand with me.
If hunting for an extended period away from home, I also suggest using the OZ20HD Vehicle Deodorizer in between hunts to attack and destroy any odors you pick up inside your vehicle along the way.
