The Debut Of the S&W Optics-Ready M&P9 M2.0 Compact Pistol

The new S&W Optics-Ready M&P9 might be just the ticket for Smith & Wesson pistol fans. Dubbed the M&P9 M2.0 Compact 4” OR, the pistol has all the enhancements of the company’s 2.0 series, together with an optics-ready slide and enlarged forward slide serrations.

S&W Optic-Ready M&P9 For Red Dot Users

Building on the award-winning M&P9 M2.0 Compact pistol series, the new models are chambered in 9mm.

Not only do they feature a slide cut for optics, their white-dot front and rear sights are high enough to co-witness with any reflex sight that you might mount on the pistol.

“The use of optics has become increasingly popular as handgun owners look for ways to enhance their accuracy and shooting experience,” said Vince Perreault, Smith & Wesson’s brand marketing manager. “To meet the demands of our consumers, the M&P9 M2.0 Compact is now able to accept many popular slide-mounted optics, straight from the factory.”

Pistols Come With Seven Mounting Plates

Purpose-built for both personal and professional use, the M&P9 M2.0 Compact pistols include the M2.0 feature set and are available with or without an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. These pistols are built with an extended stainless-steel chassis and a low barrel bore axis for reduced muzzle rise and faster aim recovery.

M&P M2.0 pistols also feature a fine-tuned, crisper trigger with lighter pull and a tactile and audible reset. The pistol has an improved, aggressively-textured grip as well.

These compact models feature a four-inch barrel. Each S&W Optics-Ready M&P9 M2.0 Compact OR comes standard with seven mounting plates designed to fit popular slide-mounted optics. Also included are two 15-round magazines and four interchangeable palm-swell grip inserts.

The MSRP on the M&P9 M2.0 Compact OR pistols is $616. For more information, go to www.smith-wesson.com.
