SilencerCo Octane Pistol Silencer Returns

SilencerCo reintroduced their Octane series of 9mm and 45 pistol silencers. After taking them off the market a few years ago these popular silencers are back with a new look and lower price point. The body of the silencer now features machining to allow for an easier grip on the silencer when attaching or removing from your pistol, it also adds some character vs a plain tube. Weight is 9oz for the 9mm and 10oz for the 45 without accessories. Price is $624 MSRP for both calibers.

Also tucked away on the wall was the SilencerCo Warlock which makes its return this year as well. Styling has changed slightly from the previous version. This 3oz silencer is rated from 22lr and has an MSRP of $245.

Leica PRS 5-30 x 56i

A welcome surprise from Lecia this year was the PRS 5-30 x 56i riflescope. This scope is a departure from the traditional scopes made by Lecia and targeted at the American market. The PRS features a first focal plane reticle, 32 mrad adjustment range, unique tool-free zeroing, and three reticle options. Of course, it has excellent Leica glass that has a high light transmission. The toolless zeroing is a unique feature that allows you to remove the turrets without any tools and reset your zero and zero stop in the field. The real surprise is the price tag, with these features, you would expect it to be in the high $3,000 range, but it comes in at an MSRP of $2,600 regardless of the options you choose.

Christensen Arms Ranger 22

Christensen Arms brought back a 22 rifle to their lineup this year with the Ranger 22. The bolt-action platform features an aluminum receiver with a steel recoil lug insert, Christensen Arms carbon fiber tension barrel, and a carbon fiber composite rimfire stock. The rifle is also well equipped with standard sling studs, a 0 MOA Picatinny rail, and a match grade Rem 700 style trigger. The Ranger 22 weighs in starting at 5.1 pounds and Christensen Arms guarantees Sub-MOA at 50 Yards.

475 Bishop Short Magnum

475 Bishop
475 Bishop

Introduced last year at SHOT Show the 475 Bishop is a hard-hitting heavy round designed to serve two roles from hunting to military applications. This year at range day Merrisa Bishop was demonstrating the capabilities of the 475 Bishop by shooting out to 1,000 with a 390gr bullet.

Each cartridge case is CNC machined from virgin brass by Roberson Cartridge Company out of Texas. Each projectile, 475 Cal, 390 gr jacketed hollow point is custom made for Bishop Ammunition and Firearms by Hawk Precision. The solid copper projectile is made by Cutting Edge Bullets and is 100% lead-free.

The 475 Bishop Short Magnum was designed specifically for the AR10 platform. This cartridge is literally the biggest case you can stuff down the throat of a standard AR10 star chamber. The cartridge is 2.85″ overall length. The projectile is a 390 gr solid copper hollow point. The AR475GAR, Bishops AR-10 upper, throws this 475 bullet at 2,500 fps, has 5,500 foot-pounds of muzzle energy. The bullet goes subsonic at 700 yards and at 1,500 yards still is moving at 710 fps and has 420 foot-pounds of energy.
