XS Sights Introduces 2nd Gen Offset Iron Sights for AR-15 Rifles

Equipping your AR-15 with offset iron sights is a good way to solve a common dilemma with the popular semi-auto carbines. A short-barreled AR-15 is handy in close quarters, but it’s capable of excellent accuracy at distance. So, do you use iron sights, a red dot or a scope with magnification?

XS Sights has the answer with its latest offering in AR-15 offset iron sights. The company’s XTI2 DXS Ember Standard Dot sights when mounted, provide a 45-degree offset from the top rail.

Offset sights allows you to make a fast transition from a magnified optic on the top rail to the offset irons for close-in work. That eliminates the need to adjust a variable magnification primary optic when time and circumstances are serious considerations. That can be important whether you’re hunting, in a competition or defending your home.

These XS Sights Provide For Fast Transitions

So what’s new with these latest from XS Sights? The XTI2 features taller bases than its predecessor for easier sight alignment without having to break a standard cheek weld.

Also, the base angle has been increased to accommodate wider lens optics. The front sight measures 0.140 of an inch wide. It now features an Orange Ember Glow Dot for increased visibility.

That Ember Glow Dot is photoluminescent. It absorbs ambient light and glows in shadows and low-light settings. The rear express sight with vertical white line can be drifted for windage adjustments.

“Our new XTI2 express sights are engineered for rapid sight acquisition in close quarters,” said Zack Kinsley, product marketing manager for XS Sights.

“These advanced offset iron sights are also ideal for 3-gun competitions when targets are close – within pistol range — and where magnified optics make target identification more difficult.  XS’s proprietary Orange Ember Glow technology provides a high contrast front sight in bright light and is instantly charged by the sun’s UV rays, causing it to glow in shadows and low light settings such as vehicles.”

Other Great Features Too

The XTI2 sights are constructed of CNC-machined steel for durability, but with 6061 T6 aluminum bases to keep the sights lightweight. Their ambidextrous too; they can be rotated for left-handed shooters.

The new XTI2 offset iron sights can be mounted easily on the top rail of any optics-ready AR-15 platform. The suggested retail price on these sights is $180, but they’re being offered right now on the XS Sights web page for $137.99.

The sights carry the XS Sights lifetime no-questions-asked warranty. XS Sights makes a wide range of sights for rifles, pistols and shotguns for hunting, personal defense and competition. For more information, go to XSSights.com.
