True Velocity Acquires Suppressor Maker Delta P Design
Garland, Texas-based ammo producer True Velocity has announced its acquisition of Delta P Design, an advanced suppressor technology company.
The merger, approved by True Velocity’s Board of Directors in July, amplifies the company’s offering of American-made advanced, lightweight ammunition technology, and state-of-the-art weapon systems.
True Velocity initially focused on advanced, lightweight polymer-cased ammunition solutions for both domestic and global defense markets and the U.S. commercial market. The company’s expansion into advanced weapon system technology made in the U.S. is demonstrated by the merger with Delta P, and its acquisition of Lone Star Future Weapons in November 2021.
“True Velocity owns world-class ammunition technology, world-class machine gun technology and, now with the acquisition of Delta P, world-class suppressor technology. The only rule we have, when it comes to providing the very best technology to our warfighters, is that it must be American-made. With the acquisition of Delta P, we now have the ability to provide our warriors with superior ammunition, superior weapons and superior suppressors, all made here in America.” Â

Enhancing Weaponry
True Velocity now owns top-notch ammo technology, machine gun technology, and suppressor technology following the Delta P acquisition, as stated by True Velocity President Craig Etchegoyen. The goal remains to provide superior American-made technology to our soldiers.
Delta P’s American-made centerfire rifle suppressors and accessories contribute to enhanced weapon performance through weight, sound, and flash reduction, while ensuring maximum functionality and maneuverability. It’s the only suppressor technology available that functions with full reliability on machine gun platforms. True Velocity plans to optimize Delta P’s suppressor technology for military and commercial applications.
Next Steps
Kevin Boscamp, Chairman and Co-CEO of True Velocity, is thrilled about the merger.
“We’re extremely excited to make Delta P part of the True Velocity family. They’ve demonstrated a culture of innovation in the suppressor space that matches our standard of excellence and will only enhance our ability to take ammunition and weapon technology to the next level,” he said.
True Velocity’s composite-cased ammunition is designed to offer advantages over traditional brass-cased ammunition, including dimensional consistency, enhanced accuracy, reduced heat transfer, and an approximate 30 percent reduction in weight. The company’s advanced weapon technology offers a patented impulse-averaging recoil mitigation system and other innovative features, producing improved performance and extreme precision.
