Smith & Wesson Introduces the M&P22 MAGNUM Pistol
Smith & Wesson has unveiled their new M&P22 MAGNUM pistol, chambered in 22 WMR. The M&P22 MAGNUM brings substantial enhancements to the M&P series. Highlighting improved capacity, reliability, and extra features, the new model packs a potent punch.
The internal hammer-fired design collaborates with the TEMPO gas-operated barrel system to lock components until the bullet surpasses the gas port. This integration effectively amplifies the firearm’s performance.
Reduce Reloading, Maximize Training
With an impressive 30-round capacity, the M&P22 MAGNUM boasts a full-size polymer frame and includes two magazines. This design minimizes reloading time, optimizing time spent on training. The firearm includes a fiber optic front sight, black notched rear sight, and is optics-ready, supporting most micro red dots available today.
Unique TEMPO Barrel System
“The M&P22 MAGNUM integrates the best features of our internal hammer fire control system with the patented TEMPO barrel design,” said John Myles, Senior Manager of New Products.
This innovative combination ensures a smooth operation for shooters. The 22 WMR is a versatile cartridge with a long legacy in American outdoor shooting and hunting.
Additional Features
The M&P22 MAGNUM, with a 4.35-inch stainless steel barrel, is fully ambidextrous and features an Armornite® finish. The firearm also includes a flat-face trigger and a Picatinny-style rail for mounting accessories.Â
