Dryshod Waterproof Boots Upgrades Legend MXT

No one wants to spend much time outdoors with cold, wet feet. Dryshod has come to my attention after the company announced recently that it was upgrading the Legend MXT boot.

Whether your time outdoors is spent hunting, working or playing, there are Dryshod waterproof boots made just for you.

Legend MXT Boot For All-Around Use

The company makes boots specifically designed for hunting, farm and ranch, lawn and garden and work.

However, the Legend MXT is part of the company’s multi-tasking Outdoor line. As such, they were developed for maximum protection and traction in all conditions and seasons.

That’s in keeping with Dryshod’s stated mission to provide farmers, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or plays in wet, sloppy, and cold conditions with the most durable, reliable and comfortable 100-percent waterproof footwear available.

Dryshod waterproof boots feature several key layers to keep your feet warm, dry and comfortable.

Improved Traction Over Challenging Terrain

The upgraded boots feature aggressive, multi-directional tread blocks provide a tenacious grip on soil, snow, and rocks, while the cupped outsole offers added protection and support. A steel shank arch support enhances stability and reduces fatigue for hours of comfortable wear.

Dryshod’s Standard Features Too

As with all Dryshod boots, the Legend MXT boots are made with a 5mm Densoprene® insulated foam bootie combined with natural rubber overlays. That helps to ensure top-to-bottom waterproof performance. They are rated down to -10 degrees.

Airmesh Lining Provides Breathability

A big problem with many neoprene and rubber boots is that they don’t allow for sufficient air flow and you get moisture buildup inside the boot.

Dryshod boots feature a four-way stretch breathable airmesh lining. That lining promotes air flow to keep feet dry.

The structured airmesh has a top layer and a bottom layer that is held apart by thousands of tiny vertical fibers.

As you walk, air is pushed and circulated through the vertical fibers allowing the skin to breathe. That keeps the boot dry and humidity-free within the boot’s specified comfort range. The linings are nonabrasive and hypoallergenic.

More Good Features

Other well-conceived features include back-pull tabs, a large heel kick, and easy roll-down calf pipe construction.

The boots also have what Dryshod calls a Hydrokote® coating on the Densoprene® fabric that sheds water to keep the upper from becoming soggy even in the wettest conditions.

The Legend MXT is offered in black or moss colors in either high-profile (119.95) or mid-profile ($114.95) models. Men’s sizes range from size 7 to size 13.

Not all Dryshod boots are tall. The Legend Camp Boot, for instance, is ankle high.

Wide Selection Of Other Styles Available

Dryshod makes a wide variety of waterproof footwear for men, women and children too. Need something for extreme cold? One of the boots that caught my eye is Dryshod’s Nosho Ultra Hunt. This is their men’s cold-conditions hunting boot rated to -50 degrees.

These boots feature an EVA cold-blocking midsole as part of their seven layers of protection and 11 mm of insulation. They include a molded EVA foam sock liner too. These boots have double achilles and instep reinforcement as well as a nylon shank. The MSRP on Nosho Ultra Hunt is $189.95.

But you don’t always want or need a tall boot. Another Dryshod style I like is their Legend Camp Boot, an ankle-high boot with an MSRP of $109.95.
