Bergara BXR .22 LR Rifle
New .22 LR Rifle with 10/22 styling
Bergara Rifles introduced a new semi-automatic .22 LR, the Bergara BXR. This new rifle features the custom quality Bergara is known for without the high price of custom.
“We have had our eye on the rimfire space for several years now. Not only is it a very close alignment to our core customer base but we are already familiar with how to make an extremely accurate barrel. The BXR just happens to be the first of several models to come from Bergara and will fill a void between the featureless mass-produced models and overly priced boutique offerings.”
Nate Treadaway, CEO of BPI Outdoors
The BXR .22LR has many features of a 10/22 based rifle, like the ability to use a 10 round rotary-style magazine that is 10/22 compatible. It accepts a 10/22 trigger group as well as a stock that uses a 10/22 footprint. However, there are features on the BXR that are not available from Ruger.
These features include an integral 30 MOA Picatinny rail atop the black Cerakoted receiver. It also includes Bergara’s proprietary stock with removable/replaceable spacers to adjust the stock length. The base model features a 4140 CrMo fluted steel barrel with a Cerakote finish, with a stock that is green with a black fleck and weighs 5.25lbs. The upgraded BXR comes with a carbon fiber barrel, a black stock with a grey fleck that weighs 4.75lbs. Both models have 1/2×28 threaded barrels.
Bergara has managed to produce a 10/22 style rifle with loads of features and a great price. They are coming in at $565 for the base model or $659 for the upgraded version with the carbon fiber barrel.Â

I grew up in Canada, but unfortunately, I did not take advantage of shooting or hunting when I lived there. I just didn’t grow up with it, but I did fish a lot. It’s only after I joined a firearm company that I could reap the benefits of having great mentors teach me the ropes. Now I’m hooked and want to experience everything I can! So much so, I was compelled to co-found this site. I hope you enjoy it, and all feedback is welcome.
